Monster Energy Leading Edge Kawasaki Takes Three out of Four Wins at Arenacross Opener

Kamloops, British Columbia(Nov 9, 2010) The Canadian indoor season kicked off this past weekend with the first two rounds of the Nex-Trax Canadian Arenacross series taking place at Chilliwack, British Columbia's Heritage Park. The Leading Edge team came into the weekend fielding the strongest team in the field with defending champion, Kyle Beaton, plus last year's number two, four and sixth placed riders in Brock Hoyer, Kris Foster and Spencer Knowles.

The biggest news in Canadian moto this off season was Beaton's signing with the Leading Edge team and the multi-time arenacross champion wasted no time in proving that the team made a good hire as he dominated the weekend's racing in his team debut, finishing third in the AX2 main event on Friday and then going on a tear, winning the rest of the main events with perfect 1-1-1 scores. He also took the Head to Head win on Friday night and with his teammate, Hoyer, taking the Head to Head win over Foster on Saturday night it was an almost perfect weekend for the team. Spencer Knowles joined his long time mentor, Beaton, on the podium during Saturday's AX2 race with a third place finish.

Said Beaton after his successful weekend, “Man, the team has been so great! I had a bit of a trying year so to be able to join up with the Kawasaki guys and have so much success right off the bat is a huge confidence boost. The bike is so fast, I can't wait for next weekend. Jason, Pat, Frenchie and everyone else at Leading Edge have been awesome and I'm stoked to be a part of the team.”

There's no rest either, as the team is back in action this weekend for rounds three and four of the series as it again returns to Chilliwack before taking a month break and resuming on December 17th at Grande Prairie, Alberta's Crystal Centre. With the deepest field in Canadian arenacross history the team will be looking to keep the momentum rolling
